A CREATIVE MIND IS A PEACEFUL MIND
EMOTIONAL WELLBEING RETREAT
24TH-30TH MARCH ‘25

Creativity is not just drawing, painting, writing… it doesn’t have to be an activity at all. Creativity could just be a state of mind that feels MORE FREE.

That’s why our creative retreats + events are not just for creatives, they are for anyone that needs to rediscover more joy and ease in their lives.

Do you feel the need to disconnect from external expectations, and connect to something that feels more natural - more like you?

FLOW STATE

"In flow state, the ego falls away. Every action, movement + thought follows from the previous one. Your whole being is involved, and you're using your skills to the utmost," - finding this state is the aim of our retreats.

BENEFITS: emotional regulation : sense of fulfilment : increased performance : foster creative thinking

BRINGING BACK CURIOSITY AND PLAY TO THE LEARNING PROCESS

We can all remember being a lot less concerned about how we appeared to others at some point in our lives. Young children learn new skills with more ease, partly because their brains are like sponges, but also because they simply don’t care as much as we do as adults. Our retreats will encourage you to get creative, by first reframing how we approach learning.

We’ve taken inspiration from many sources (see below for some recommendations), but overall we created this retreat in a response to a collective feeling off being over-stimulated, and under-inspired. Many studies show boredom as one of the key stages of creating, so here we bring you time for mental space, in contrast to our guided creative sessions. In this process, you can really rediscover (or uncover), your inspiration again.

OUR VENUE - SIAURYS RESORT
siaurysresort.lt

Recreation complex Šiaurys is located in the legendary Labanoras Forest. This is a land for the people who love nature and believe in its powers, who want to make a pause in the midst of the pace of the city and feel the silence and healing power of the forest, as well as those who want to devote their time to self-development and inner discoveries.

This project appeared with the aim of bringing together nature lovers and a united community of people who want to experience a life-changing forest and the magical silence of this space.

Location: Siaurys is located about 80 km from Vilnius and 130 km from Kaunas. You will get the detailed coordinates upon confirmation of your booking.

Access: You can hire a car and take the (approx) 1 hour drive from Vilnius airport - a beautiful drive to start your adventure. We will also be arranging a transfer from the airport at a set time on the first morning of the retreat. We will do our best to coordinate with all guests the best time depending on all flight arrival times, as we will have people arriving from all over the world.

GOOD TO KNOW

RETREAT CREATOR

Studio Mytha founder Amy Patsalides has created this retreat based on her own experience as a creative. Growing up in the 80s, boredom was a common occurrence, but it was never something that was as feared as it is nowadays. Remembering this time fondly, she shares “Most of my childhood I was faced with boredom. When I couldn’t play out with my friends, I’d be at home, and, being an only child, I'd have very little to entertain me. But it was this time in my life that I started drawing - and I’d spend HOURS doing so. I also used to write stories - at some point I even wrote a book - I taught myself to cook when I was 10, and I’d forever be creating plays with my friends - most of all, my imagination was totally WILD, and I saw the world through a very inspiring lens. This was when the seeds of creative thinking got planted for me.

I know I wouldn’t have found my creative streak without that 'boredom', and it made me think what we might discover if we dare to venture away from constant stimulation today…” Amy works as a brand designer, loves spending time sketching & painting, and has an interest in Psychology that has led her to start her studies to become a therapist. She sees these retreats as a way to revisit how we can go about fostering creativity, and how that can also help with our wellbeing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Group of people outdoors, some wearing jackets, walking or standing in a field on a cloudy day.

SPACE TO SHARE AND EXCHANGE. CREATING CAN GET EMOTIONAL, AND IF IT DOES, THAT IS ALL WELCOME. THIS IS NOT AN ART THERAPY RETREAT, BUT IT IS A SAFE SPACE TO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS.

LOTS OF TIME TO YOURSELF (IF YOU WANT IT) A MUCH NEEDED ELEMENT OF CREATIVITY IS TIME ALONE, INTROSPECTION AND A GOOD DOSE OF DOING NOTHING AT ALL.

A DOSE OF DISCONNECTION. OUR VENUE WILL BE DEEP IN NATURE, AND ALTHOUGH WE TRUST THAT YOU’RE ALL ADULTS, WE WILL ENCOURAGE LESS SCREEN TIME, AND UNNECESSARY EXTERNAL STIMULATION.
